Waterproofing of the Fabric
The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is measured in mm of water column (based on the JIS 1092 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric is. This jacket was tested under 60L of water per square meter per hour for 1 hour, simulating average rainfall in mountainous conditions. A fabric with a 5,000 mm waterproof rating can withstand the pressure of 5,000 mm of water, equivalent to about an hour of rainfall.

Breathability of the Fabric
The breathability is measured by the “Thermal Evaporative Resistance” (RET), which indicates how well the fabric allows body moisture to escape and prevents sweat from building up.

RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric

RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric

RET ≤ 20: moderately breathable fabric

This jacket has a RET of 12.

Fabric Durability
We test fabric durability through abrasion resistance and rubbing tests to ensure the jacket doesn’t pill. Color retention is also tested to prevent dye runoff. Wash aging tests ensure repeated washing doesn’t affect fabric properties, thickness, or appearance.

Care Instructions

Machine wash at 30°C using mild detergent. Turn jacket and pants inside out. Loosen straps and elastic parts.

Avoid over-folding the jacket during washing to prevent damage.

Do not mix clothing styles or colors.

Do not use bleach.

Use a gentle rinse cycle and low spin.

Dry on a clothesline or tumble dry on low heat for a short duration.

What is the fit of the BL 100 underwear?
The BL 100 underwear has a REGULAR fit. It is a classic straight cut that fits all body types.

What does Polyester offer?
Polyester is the most commonly used fiber for base layers, as it is relatively inexpensive and offers excellent performance in some areas. It is lightweight and durable because the fibers can be knitted to create a thin fabric. It actively absorbs moisture, but it doesn’t dry very well once wet. It is limited in its ability to reduce odors.

How to dress children to stay warm on the ski slopes?
To stay warm and dry, simply apply the rule of three technical layers:

Layer 1: Base layer, to keep dry.

Layer 2: Insulating layer, to retain heat.

Layer 3: Protective layer, to protect from the elements.
