Weightlifting Dumbbell Set Contents
2 threaded bars, 1.6 kg, 28 mm diameter, 35 cm length
4 chrome locking nuts (200 grams each)
8 discs of 1 kg, 28 mm diameter (135 mm height, 13 mm thickness)
4 discs of 2 kg, 28 mm diameter (175 mm height, 18 mm thickness)
Total weight of bar + nut: 2 kg
Why choose cast iron discs over plastic or vinyl ones?
We’ll explain why:
Cast iron, due to its higher density compared to vinyl, allows for more discs on the bar (up to 32 kg on a dumbbell, for example), making it easier to adjust the load and diversify exercises. Unlike plastic or vinyl weights, cast iron can last a lifetime.
What are the differences compared to vinyl and plastic?
Cast iron is less sensitive to temperature changes, ensuring consistent use in various climates.
Compared to vinyl, cast iron is much more resistant to shocks, drops, and crushing, offering up to five times more durability.
Its textured surface ensures excellent grip, even with sweaty hands, unlike plastic which tends to slip.
How much weight can I add to these dumbbells?
These dumbbells can support up to 30 kg each. Since the bar and nuts weigh 2 kg, you can load up to 32 kg per dumbbell, totaling 64 kg. If you’re looking for additional weights, our 28 mm cast iron weight discs (1042303) will be perfect. Ranging from 0.5 kg to 20 kg, you can buy exactly the weight you need.
Train safely with this dumbbell kit
The weights are secured onto the bar with the locking nuts. This keeps them in place, even when using the dumbbells vertically. If you’re doing dynamic workouts, check the nut tightness between sets, especially if you hear the discs clanging. That said, a small amount of play is normal to maintain easy sliding onto the bar.
Easy storage and organization of dumbbells
This dumbbell kit is especially useful if you want to keep your equipment out of sight after your workouts. Simply store the dumbbells and weights in their case and slide it under a bed or into a closet. Thanks to its case, you can also transport your entire kit easily.
How to maintain your dumbbell kit?
To keep your dumbbell kit in the best condition:
Wipe the dumbbell bar and weights with a damp cloth before storing them in the case.
Place the different kit elements in the designated compartments in the case.
Store the case in a dry place.
Humidity is your kit’s enemy—never store it in a basement or outside.
What equipment can I use with my 20 kg dumbbell kit?
To perform a wide range of exercises with your 20 kg dumbbell kit and further diversify your training, you can use other gym accessories. A bench, for example, will allow you to perform bench presses.
