POLAR FABRIC: INSULATING WITH AIR
The polar fabric traps air through the volume created by its texture (and the brushing of the fabric). This air helps to keep the body warm through its insulating properties.

DURABILITY OF THE COMPONENTS
We conduct numerous lab tests to ensure optimal durability: abrasion and friction resistance tests to ensure the fleece doesn’t pill, color retention tests to check the durability and resistance of the colors, and aging tests to confirm that repeated washes don’t affect the fabric’s properties, behavior, thickness, or appearance.

PRODUCT DESIGN: OUR EXPERTISE
Our Quechua global design center is located in Passy, at the foot of Mont Blanc in Haute-Savoie. This location allows us to meet directly with our teams (designers, product managers, engineers…) and outdoor enthusiasts, making it an ideal place for developing hiking products and offering our expertise.

Storage Advice
Store on a hanger or folded in a clean, dry place.
Keep away from flames or heat sources.

Testing
We perform two types of thermal tests:

• A fabric test for our fleeces.

• A thermal mannequin test in a thermal chamber. We simulate temperature, wind (5 km/h), and humidity conditions you’d encounter on a mountain hike at a pace of 5 km/h.
  These tests validate our design choices and allow us to adapt thermal insulation where it’s most needed.

To meet the demands of your children, Quechua products are tested in the mountains, under conditions you may encounter during your hikes. The children of our team members, along with a panel of young testers, test the products throughout their development until they’re ready for sale.
